Carrie Carr is a licensed clinical professional counselor and clinical supervisor in Illinois, Tennessee, and Mississippi with over 30+ years of experience in the mental health field.
She is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Hope Enrichment Center. In 2004, she established the Hope Enrichment Center to inspire positive change in the community and contribute to the mental health profession.
Since its inception, the Hope Enrichment Center has grown from its original location in the South Suburbs of Chicago, IL to five (5) locations in IL, MS, and TN!
Carrie has presented at many professional associations conferences and other mental health professional groups around the country on the topics of EMDR Therapy, Mindfulness, Ego State Therapy, Addiction, Ethics and the treatment of trauma.
Carrie has served on the board of directors of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) from 2012 to 2016; one year as secretary. She is currently serving as secretary on the board of the Tennessee First Responder’s Foundation.
She has created networking and advanced training groups for EMDR clinicians nationally and has been a certified EMDR Clinician for over 18 years; EMDRIA approved consultant for 10+ years; and EMDRIA approved trainer for 8+ years.

If you are seeing Carrie at one of her Mississippi offices, you will likely have the pleasure of meeting her canine companion, Millie. Millie is a friendly presence to ensure an extra layer of comfort during your visit. She loves scratches and cuddles as well as just quietly keeping you company.

Carrie offers outpatient mental health counseling and intensive therapeutic retreats for people 16+ years old struggling with a history of abuse or neglect, current Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and addiction. Carrie also provides mental health professionals with case consultation, supervision towards licensure, and training for mental health professionals in therapeutic techniques as well as business development.
While you do not need a professional referral to receive treatment with Carrie, her schedule is reserved for those within her area of expertise. Her availability will also vary depending on current case load and calendar commitments.
A personal therapeutic retreat is an investment of larger blocks of time to focus on overcoming persistent obstacles that interrupt your growth towards a happier and more fulfilled life. Personal retreats can also be a time for reflection and an opportunity to reconnect with one’s internal purpose and passion. Yes,I will provide telehealth counsel for clients that are deemed appropriate for these services. However, in person is preferred when available.
Yes, I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO of Illlinois and Mississippi. I also take Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, and UBH/Optum insurance plans. We also offer flexible payment options for those without insurance coverage. As always, check with your insurance carrier before contacting Carrie for an appointment to ensure coverage for services.
